OCNG5: upcoming features

Short update: for OCNG5.3 we're working on ability to adjust CPU core multiplier.

While it will only work on unlocked CPUs, it will relieve users from making adjustments with software (e.g. TurionPowerControl) at each boot.

H8QG7/i-LN4F are now supported by OCNG5

Thanks to assistance provided by gigatexal and [Ion], all LN4F boards are now supported by OCNG.

OCNG 5.2r2 packages have been released and you can find them at usual location. Support for other boards is unchanged.

OCNG5.2, coming up...

After long break, I'm happy to say that next drop of OCNG (5.2) is in its final production stages. Ideally, it will be released within a week's time

Highlights of OCNG5.2:

• supports H8SGL series boards (with fine-grained clock control)
• ocng-cu (configuration utility) now runs on Windows (no need to boot Linux to reconfigure OCNG any more)
• based on SM BIOS version 3.5
• resolves configuration loss issue when using SATA ports 4/5

New development

OCNG5 testing is coming along just fine, so... here's a spoiler of new development:

Opteron 6276 at 2990 MHz (all-core turbo w/refclock of 230 MHz) in an H8SGL. There are still some challenges, stability needs improvement and memory tuning is off (DDR3-1533 vs expected DDR3-1763). Work continues :-)

OCNG5 (with Opteron 6200/6300 support) Beta 1 has been released to early adopters

UPDATE: development of Opteron 6200/6300 support in OCNG has concluded.

After extended development period, OCNG5 Beta has been completed and was released to early adopters.

It supports OC of all of G34 Opteron processors and is a very solid performer.

Once beta testing concludes and issues, if any, are addressed, OCNG5 will be released to the public.
